Yogi, featuring director Ameer in the lead role, is one of the eagerly anticipated movies in Kollywood.

The shooting for Yogi kicked off last week at AVM Studios where scenes involving Ameer were shot.

Ameer, oozing with energy, looked trim. He has toned up his physique after rigorous workouts. A director to reckon with in Tamil industry, Ameer was bitten by the acting bug post Paruthi Veeran.

After a lot of search for the role of heroine, finally Madhumitha was selected to pair with Ameer. The grapevine has it that the storyline demanded a 13 year old girl. Since the director couldn’t find any suitable girl, the story was said to have been changed.

Thiruda Thirudi fame Subramania Siva wields the megaphone, while Yuvan Shankar Raja has scores the music. The songs have reportedly come well.
